Dunedin City Charter Amendment, Questions 1-6 (November 2012)

Six Dunedin City Charter Amendment questions are on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Pinellas County, which is in Florida, where they were all approved.

Question 1 amended the Dunedin City Charter to provide that the Vice-Mayor be selected annually on a rotating basis.[1]

Question 2 amended the Dunedin City Charter to define the term "convicted" as determination of guilt from plea or trial, regardless of whether adjudication is withheld.

Question 3 amended the Dunedin City Charter to establish that the City Clerk be appointed or removed by a 4/5 vote from the City Commission and that the City Clerk's compensation is to be established by City Commission.

Question 4 amended the Dunedin City Charter to establish two term limits on the service of the Mayor and the Commissioners.

Question 5 amended the Dunedin City Charter to decrease the number of days that the City Commission has to repeal an ordinance or adopt an initiative ordinance or referendum petition from 150 to 60.

Question 6 amended the Dunedin City Charter to establish that the City Commission must meet twice each month unless otherwise determined.
