North Carolina

RALEIGH, North Carolina: In a convention held on Saturday, March 17, Durham County Republican Party passed a resolution declaring its support of North Carolina Amendment 1. The text of the resolution highlights the party's opinions of why holding a public vote on the amendment is a good idea, and its arguments in favor of passing the amendment. The resolution seems to focus on the ballot measure as a chance for the people of North Carolina to have a say in the matter before action by the courts or state, an opportunity, the resolution says, the people of Massachusetts never got.[1]

The text of the resolution can be found here.
