Preceded by: Mike Beebe |}Dustin McDaniel (born April 29, 1972 in Fayetteville, Arkansas)[1] is the current Attorney General of Arkansas. A member of the Democratic Party, he assumed office on January 9, 2007, replacing Mike Beebe.

Prior to becoming the Attorney General, McDaniel was a Democratic member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, representing District 75 in Jonesboro.

McDaniel began his career as a uniformed patrol officer for the Jonesboro Police Department and was a law partner in the firm of McDaniel and Wells in Jonesboro. He served as legal counsel for the Craighead County Democratic Central Committee and is a former member of the Democratic Party of Arkansas State Committee.

McDaniel has faced criticism for his failure to meaningfully review the convictions of Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley, collectively known as the West Memphis Three.
