Cook ran in the 2012 election for North Dakota Senate District 34. Cook ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 12. He defeated Stacey J. Bendish in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Cook was re-elected to the 34th District Seat in the North Dakota State Senate, besting Arnold Zins (D). [2] Cook raised $8,700 for his campaign, while Zins raised $11,450. [3]
