There was a Dysart School District Budget Override measure on March 9 ballot in Maricopa County for voters in the Dysart school district.

This measure was approved

  • YES 51.35% Approveda
  • NO 48.65%[1]

This measure sought to allow the school budget to go over the set budget limit by 15 percent in order to help pay for maintenance and operation costs of the district. Due to there already being a 10 and 5 percent increase on the current budgets of the schools, this measure will not raise district taxes, just will continue the current rate of about $1.22 per $100 of assessed home property value. A similar override continuation was defeated in November 2009.[2]
