Ahearn won election in the 2012 election for New Hampshire House of Representatives, Rockingham 37. Ahearn was unopposed in the September 11 primary election and defeated Sharleene Page Hurst (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

Ahearn was a 2010 Democratic candidate for Rockingham 14 of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
Ahearn failed to advance past the November 2, 2010 general election.
Ahearn advanced past the September 14 primary election. She faced incumbent Amy Perkins (R), incumbent Lawrence Perkins (R), Ryan Mahoney (D), Glenn Ritter (R), and Gary Wheaton (R) in the November 2 general election.
