Two East Cleveland City Charter Amendment measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the city of East Cleveland which is in Cuyahoga County.

Both measures were defeated

The first measure sought to allow red light cameras to remain in the city.

The second measure sought to amend the city charter so as to require that the Mayor appoint the Directors of Finance and Law as well as remove them with a three-fifths vote from the council.[1]

The question on the ballot:

Shall Section 23 of the Charter of the City of East Cleveland be amended to require the Director of Law and the Director of Finance be appointed by the Mayor with confirmation by at least three-fifths of the Council and that either the Director of Law or Director of Finance may be removed by the Mayor with confirmation by at least three fifths of the Council?[3]
