A East Dundee Village Electrical Aggregation Question was on the March 20, 2012 ballot in the village of East Dundee which is in both Cook and Kane Counties.

This measure was approved

  • YES 241 (52.74%)Approveda
  • NO 197 (43.11%)[1]

This measure sought to aggregate electricity in the village allowing for officials to buy electricity in bulk and obtain lower rates for residents and small businesses if they want to be a part of the program. Since it was approved, village officials will be able to negotiate prices for participants in the program and seek the lowest rates from multiple providers.[2]
