Edgewood City Schools bond issue, February 2009
The Edgewood City Schools bond issue appeared on the February 3, 2009 ballot in Butler County for voters in the Edgewood City School District. The question voters faced was whether to approve a $26 million bond and permanent improvement levy.
The levy was approved by a vote of 1,615 to 1,499, according to final but unofficial returns from the Butler County Board of Elections.
The bond issue had to be approved by local voters by August, or else a matching grant of $20 million from the Ohio School Facilities Commission would have no longer been available.
The money will build a new school on the Riner Farm on the corner of Busenbark and Hamilton Trenton Road, near the current school campus.
