Edward Lindsey is a Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives. He has represented the 54th District since 2005 and currently serves as House Majority Whip.

He announced that he will be running for election to the U.S. House, representing the 11th congressional district of Georgia.[1]

Lindsey is an attorney. He was Chairman of the Fulton County Campaign for Sonny Perdue in 2002, candidate for Georgia State Senate District 40 in 2000, and on the Governor's Judicial Nomination Commission.

He is a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church, Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, Buckhead Business Association's Leadership Program, Boy Scouts of America, Broookhaven Neighborhood Civic Association, Northside Youth Organization, Sarah Smith Parent Teacher Association, and the Young Men's Christian Association.[2]

Lindsey ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 54. Lindsey ran unopposed in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012. Lynn Brown McKinney ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. [4] Lindsey defeated Lynn Brown McKinney in the general election.[5]
