He announced that he will be running for election to the U.S. House, representing the 11th congressional district of Georgia.[1]
Lindsey is an attorney. He was Chairman of the Fulton County Campaign for Sonny Perdue in 2002, candidate for Georgia State Senate District 40 in 2000, and on the Governor's Judicial Nomination Commission.
He is a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church, Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, Buckhead Business Association's Leadership Program, Boy Scouts of America, Broookhaven Neighborhood Civic Association, Northside Youth Organization, Sarah Smith Parent Teacher Association, and the Young Men's Christian Association.[2]

Lynn Brown McKinney ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. [4] Lindsey defeated Lynn Brown McKinney in the general election.[5]
