Phil Lindsey is doing everything he can to protect Missouri voters from disenfranchisement. As director of the Independence based nonpartisan group Showmethevote!, he is a leader in voter rights for the state.[1] A new initiative from the group aims to ensure voter integrity in all 122 counties.

Integrity initiative
In an attempt to ensure all voters have the correct information on what forms of ID are acceptable to vote, SMTV! mailed letters to election officials in every county, asking them to link to the Missouri Secretary of State's website outlining proper ID. Lindsey stated, “We want both voters and election judges to know what is adequate and proper voting ID.”[1]
The letters also asked the officials to take every action possible to ensure no voter is disenfranchised. This includes communicating with voters through the SMTV! website and working with the group to ensure voter rights on election day.
Replies
Currently, Lindsey has received replies from election officials in Platte, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Dunklin, and Ripley counties.[1] Eventually all of the replies will be posted on the SMTV! website.
