Eileen Fleming was a 2012 independent candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 5th Congressional District of Florida. She was defeated by Corrine Brown on November 6, 2012.[1]

Fleming ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Florida's 5th District. Fleming sought the nomination as a no party affiliated fiscal conservative and social progressive on the Independent ticket.[2] Candidates wishing to run were required to file by the signature filing deadline of June 8, 2012. The primary elections were held on August 14, 2012. She was defeated by Corrine Brown on November 6, 2012.[3]
