Elizabeth Mitchell

Elizabeth Mitchell is a Democratic member of the Maine Senate. Mitchell has served in the Maine Senate since 2004. Mitchell was re-elected in November of 2008 with her term expiring in 2012. Before being a Senator, Mitchell was a member of the Maine House of Representatives from 1974 to 1984 and 1991 to 1998.
Mitchell graduated from Furman University with her Bachelor's degree and North Carolina with her Master's Degree. Mitchell later earned her law degree from Maine Law.
In addition to being a Senator, Mitchell is a practicing Attorney and was a former teacher.
