Ellen Golombek is the current Colorado Executive Director of Labor and Employment. She was appointed to her position by Governor John Hickenlooper on January 3, 2011.

Biography

Before becoming executive director, Golombek served ten years as president of the Colorado AFL-CIO. She previously worked as Assistant to the Secretary-Treasurer and Director of Government Affairs at the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). She was also National Political and Field Director for Planned Parenthood in Washington, D.C., and Vice President for External Affairs in New York. Golombek is currently Colorado State Director for America Votes, a non-profit that "protects every American's right to vote,"[1]
