Ellen Koivisto (b. August 11, 1943) is a former Democratic member of the Nevada Assembly, representing District 14 from 1996 to 2010. State term limits disqualified her from re-election in 2010.


Koivisto's professional experience includes working as a managing assistant for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Provost Office since 1995; and was managing assistant for the Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, from 1988 to 1995.[1]

On November 4, 2008, Koivisto won re-election to the District 14 Seat in the Nevada Assembly, defeating Dennis Cox.[2]
