Elwood Thorpe was a Democratic-NPL member of the North Dakota House of Representatives. He represented the 5th District from 1990-1994, and from 1996-2010.

Thorpe has retired from the auto business. He attended Wahpeton School of Science and Junior College.

Thorpe and his wife, Jean, have two children.[1]
