AnElyria City Income Tax Increase measure was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the city of Elyria which is in Lorain County.

This measure sought to increase the city income tax to 2 percent, the added amount would go towards helping fund the city police department, estimated around $2.8 million a year. The money would have mainly gone towards hiring new officers, buying new vehicles and giving current officers more training.[2]
