Eric Griego (b. January 22, 1966) is a Democratic member of the New Mexico Senate. He represents the 14th District.
Education
Griego earned his BA in Journalism and Government from New Mexico State University in 1989. He went on to receive his MPA in Public Management from the University of Maryland in 1991.
Professional experience
Griego was President and co-founder of Engaging Communication, LLC, from 2001 to 2005. He then worked as Assistant Cabinet Secretary for the New Mexico Economic Development Department from 2005 to 2007. He has been Executive Director for New Mexico Voices for Children since 2007.
Political experience
Griego was the City Councilman on the Albuquerque City Council from 2001 to 2005. He joined the New Mexico State Senate in 2008. He has served in that position since, representing the 14th district.
