Biography
Holland was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, the Art Students League of New York and the San Francisco Academy of Art College. [2] Erik Holland has been a Reno-based visual artist since he moved from Alaska in 2000. He has taught at VSAN, Rainshadow Charter High School, and Sierra Arts. He has been drawing political cartoons since 1996. [3]

Holland ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Nevada's 2nd District. Holland was seeking the nomination on the Democratic ticket.
