Wells earned his BA from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. He went on to receive his MA from West Virginia University.
Wells has worked in public relations, as media consultant, and owner of Wells Media Group Limited Liability Company. He has served as Lieutenant in the United States Naval Reserves as a Public Affairs Officer since 2001.[1]
