Two Essex Township Levy Increase Measure were on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the township of Essex, which is in Clinton County.

Both measures were defeated

The first measure sought to increase the current levy for cemeteries by $.25 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further four years in order to help pay for maintenance cost of cemeteries in the township.

The second measure sought to increase the current levy on salt which is set at $.50 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further four years in order to help pay for salt which is used on the roads in the township.[1]
