There was a Estacada City Vehicle Fuel Tax measure on the March 9 ballot in Clackamas County for voters in the city of Estacada.

This measure was defeated

  • YES 146 (27.81%)
  • NO 379 72.19%)Defeatedd[1]

City officials were disappointed with the results, they still hope though that they will receive grant money from the state to help with road improvements, many which are still greatly needed but have no other means of funding now that this tax was defeated. Some roads are in very bad shape and in desperate need of repair.[2]

This measure sought to establish a tax on vehicle fuel within the city which would go towards the funding of street improvements. The tax would have been 3 cents per gallon with around $150,000 expected to be collected in a year.[3]
