Lee was Chair of the Pearl River County. He served in the Mississippi State House of Representatives from 1987 to 1991. He then joined the Mississippi State Senate in 1992. He served in that position until 2012.
Lee was a Teacher/Coach. Lee earned his AA from Pearl River Community College. He received his BS from William Carey College. He then earned his MS from the University of Southern Mississippi.
On May 21, 2012, Lee passed away at age 78 after a battle with cancer.[2]
