Two Fairlawn City Charter Amendment measures were on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the city of Fairlawn, which is in Summit County.

Both measures were approved

The charter amendments sought to add one alternative member to both the Planning Commission board and the Zoning and Buildings Appeals board. The purpose of adding these alternative members was so that if a regular member was absent from a meeting the alternative member would have the power to vote in their stead as opposed to waiting for the regular member to come back to vote on an issue.[1]
