There was a Falkville Wet/Dry Referendum Measure on the June 1 ballot in Morgan County for voters in the town of Falkville.

This measure was defeated

  • YES 156
  • NO 246 Defeatedd[1]

This measure asked voters if they wanted to allow the sale of alcohol within their town limits. New Alabama law allows communities with at least 1,000 people to choose if they want to go wet. Proponents of the measure cite increased tax revenue due to people buying alcohol within the town limits and increased business because restaurants are more likely to build in an area that allows alcohol sales.[2]
