Federal Way School District Levy Measures, 2 (February 2012)
The first measure sought to replace the current school levy which is set to expire with one set at a rate of $4.95 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further two years in order to continue to pay for educational programs and operational costs in the district.
The second measure sought to add to the current school levy by an increasing rate starting at $.74 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further six years in order to pay for capital improvements in the district.

The question on the ballot:
| Proposition 1: The Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 2011-37 concerning a replacement levy for education. This replacement levy funds district educational programs and school operations, including classroom support, technology and security staff, athletics and activities, maintenance, and transportation, and authorizes the following excess levies to replace an expiring levy on all taxable property within the District: Collection Years: 2013-2014; Approximate Levy Rate/$1,000 Assessed Value: $4.95; Levy Amount: $53,000,000. Should this proposition be approved?
Proposition 2: The Board of Directors of Federal Way School District No. 210 adopted Resolution No. 2011-42 authorizing the capital projects levies. This levy funds the replacement of Federal Way High School and other capital improvements to educational facilities of the District, and authorizes the following excess levies on all taxable property within the District: Collection Years: 2013-2018; Approximate Levy Rate/$1,000 Assessed Value: $.74, $.77, $.82, $.87, $1.10, $1.12; Levy Amount: $7,900,000, $8,300,000, $8,900,000, $9,600,000, $12,400,000, $12,900,000. Should this proposition be approved?
