The question on the ballot:
|Shall the limitation on the total amount of taxes which may be levied against property in the City of Ferrysburg, Ottawa County, Michigan, as provided for by Section 6 of Article IX of the Michigan Constitution of 1963, be increased up to the amount of $0.50 per thousand dollars of taxable valuation (0.5000 mills) for a period of ten (10) years, 2012 through 2021, inclusive, to replace Fire Department, Police Department, and Public Services Department motorized equipment, and shall the City be authorized to levy said tax? The estimate of the additional taxes the City will collect if 0.5000 mills are levied in 2012 is approximately $78,692.|
