The question facing voters was whether to approve a 7.3-mill replacement levy to hike taxes $21 per $100,000 of market value. The current tax measure yields $2.5 million a year. The increase would add $200,000 annually.[2]
School district voters rejected a similar request in November 2008 by 498 votes.
