A Fire District 3 Emergency Services Tax proposition was on the November 3, 2009 ballot in Clallam County.

This proposition will instate a $.50 tax on property in the district in order to help pay for emergency medical services provided by the fire department. This tax will be instated for the next ten years after the proposition is adopted.

"Shall the Board of Commissioners of Clallam County Fire Protection District No. 3 be re-authorized to impose regular property tax levies of $.50 or less per thousand dollars of assessed valuation for each of ten consecutive years beginning in 2010 for the provision of emergency medical care and emergency services?"[2]
