The Florida Departments of Veteran Affairs and Elderly Affairs Amendment, also known as Amendment 9, was a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment in Florida which was approved on the ballot on November 8, 1988.

This amendment modified Article IV of the Florida Constitution to authorize the creation of a Department of Veterans Affairs and a Department of Elderly Affairs.[1]
