A Florida Marriage Amendment did not appear on the November 6, 2012 ballot in the state of Florida as an initiated constitutional amendment. If enacted this measure would have overturned the Amendment to the State Constitution passed in 2008 that defines marriage as between one man and one woman. The measure would further have redefined marriage as between any two consenting adult of legal age. The amendment was introduced by We Are Gathered Together on October 12, 2011.[1]
