A Florida Right to Direct Amendment did not make the November 6, 2012 ballot in the state of Florida as an initiated constitutional amendment. If enacted this measure would have amended the state constitution to allow for the public to propose and vote on state statutes. The amendment was introduced by Justice -2- Jesus on December 20, 2007.[1]

In order to qualify for the 2012 ballot supporters are required to collect a minimum of 676,811 valid signatures by the February 1, 2012 petition drive deadline. The petition was not submitted to the Florida Secretary of State by the deadline.[2]
