A Florida Right to Health Care Amendment did not make the November 6, 2012 ballot in the state of Florida as an initiated constitutional amendment. If enacted this measure would have mandated that the legislature set up a single-payer health care system in the state in which all state citizens would have the right to participate. The amendment was first introduced by Floridians For Health Security on September 21, 1995. It was then reintroduced by Floridians For Health Rights on March 4, 2003 and again on October 17, 2005.[1]
