Text of measure
The language that appeared on the ballot:
To amend Section 6 and 7 of Article XVIII of the Constitution providing that terms of offices of appointees to fill vacancies in elective offices extend only to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in January following the election and qualification of a successor; and in all cases of election to fill vacancies in offices such shall be for that part of the unexpired term commencing on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in January net after such election.
