Five state executive positions are up for election in 2014 in the state of Florida. The general election will take place November 4, 2014, following a primary on August 26. Florida is one of 12 states to use a strictly closed primary process, in which the selection of a party's candidates in an election is limited to registered party members.[1][2][3]
