Former Hale County circuit clerk was indicted on multiple counts of vote fraud-related charges. The 13-count indictment resulted from the elections in 2004 and the spring of 2005 when Gay Nell Tinker was charged with possessing a forged absentee voter affidavit, promoting illegal absentee voting, and committing perjury[1]
Indictment is the latest development in investigations of Hale County voting irregularities
In 2007 the state attorney general named Bobby Singleton, a state senator from Greensboro, was also charged in a vote fraud investigation. Singleton has denied the charges.[1]
