Fred Girod has been a Republican member of the Oregon Senate since 2008, representing the 9th district.
Education
Girod earned his BS from Oregon State University. He went on to receive his DMD from Oregon Health Sciences University. He then earned his MPA from Harvard University.
Professional experience
Girod is a former Real Estate Developer. He was also partner in Lakeside Assisted Care Facility. He is currently a dentist.
Political experience
Girod is a former member of Stayton Budget Committee and Stayton City Council. He served in the Oregon State House of Representatives from 1993 to 1994 and again from 2006 to 2008. He was appointed to the Oregon State Senate in 2008. He has served in that position since, representing the 9th district.
