Fred Strahorn (b. March 20, 1965) has been a Democratic member of the Ohio Senate since 2009, representing the 5th district.
Education
Strahorn attended the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1984. He then earned his BA in Aviation Management from Ohio State University in 1989. He later attended Real Estate Classes at Sinclair Community College in 1994.
Professional experience
Strahorn worked as a realtor for Century 21 Trans Am from 1994 to 1996 and for Coldwell Banker Heritage from 1996 to 1997. He was then a Legislative Aide for the Ohio House from 1997 to 1998 and for the Ohio Senate from 1999 to 2000. He is currently a realtor.
Political experience
Strahorn was a member of the Montgomery County Board. He served in the Ohio State House of Representatives from 2001 to 2008. He was appointed to the Ohio State Senate in March 2009. He has served in that position since, representing the 5th district.
