Galen Hadley (1942-) is a member of the Nebraska Unicameral representing District 37. He was first elected in 2008.
Background
Born March 9, 1942 in Lincoln, Nebraska, Sen. Hadley is a retired professor from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Prior to his election to the Legislature, Sen. Hadley served on Kearney City Council; Good Samaritan Hospital Board; Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce; Buffalo County Economic Development Board.[1] He is currently married to Marilyn Hadley.
Education
Galen Hadley earned his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska in 1964, his MBA from the University of Colorado in 1969, and his PhD from the University of Nebraska in 1975.
Professional Experience
Galen Hadley worked as a dean for the University of Nebraska-Kearney from 1991 to 2001 and as a professor at the University of Nebraska-Kearney from 1991 to 2005. From 2003 to 2005, Hadley worked as Senior Vice Chancellor for the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
Political Experience
Galen Hadley became a city councilor of the city of Kearney in 2002 and served until 2006. In 2004, Hadley became mayor of Kearney until 2006. In 2008 he joined the Nebraska State Legislature as a senator.

Galen Hadley was previously involved with a number of organizations, including the Catholic Health are Neutral, Catholic Health Care Neutral, Good Samaritan Hospital, Buffalo County Development Council, Kearney Chamber of Commerce, and the Good Samaritan Hospital.
