Gallipolis City 5 Local Option Election on Alcohol Sale (9) (November 2012)

Nine Gallipolis City #5 Local Option Election on Alcohol Sale proposals were on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Gallia County, Ohio where three were defeated and six were approved.[1]

These measures gave local residents options for on and off premise sale and consumption of alcohol.

Language on the ballot for Local Option 1:

Shall the sale of beer as defined in section 4305.08 of the Revised Code under permits which

authorize sale for off-premises consumption only be permitted with in this precinct, City 5?[1][2]

Language on the ballot for Local Option 2:

Shall the sale of beer as defined in section 4305.08 of the Revised Code under permits which

authorize sale for on-premises consumption only, and under permits which authorize sale for both on-premises and off-premises consumption, be permitted within this precinct, City 5?[1][2]

Language on the ballot for Local Option 3:

Shall the sale of wine and mixed beverages by the package, under permits which authorize sale

for off-premise consumption only, be permitted in this precinct, City 5?[1][2]

Language on the ballot for Local Option 4:

Shall the sale of wine and mixed beverages, under permits which authorize sale for on-premises

consumption only, and under permits which authorize sale for both on-premise and off premises consumption, be permitted in this precinct, City 5?[1][2]

Language on the ballot for Local Option 5:

Shall the sale of spirituous liquors by the glass be permitted in this precinct, City 5?[1][2]

Shall state liquor stores or liquor agency stores for the sale of spirituous liquor by the package

Shall the sale of intoxicating liquor, of the same types as may be legally sold in this precinct on

other days of the week, be permitted in this precinct, City 5 for consumption on the premises where sold, between the hours of eleven a.m. and midnight on Sunday?[1][2]

Shall the sale of intoxicating liquor, of the same types as may be legally sold in this precinct on

other days of the week, be permitted in this precinct City 5 for consumption on the premises where sold, between the hours of eleven a.m. and midnight on Sunday, at licensed premises where the sale of food and other goods and services exceeds fifty percent of the total gross receipts of the permit holder at the premises?[1][2]

Shall the sale of wine and mixed beverages, of the same types as may be legally sold in the

precinct on other days of the week, be permitted in this precinct City 5 for consumption off the premises where sold, between the hours of eleven a.m. and midnight on Sunday?[1][2]
