Three Gallipolis City Local Option Questions were on the March 6, 2012 ballot in the designated locations in Gallipolis city which is in Gallia County.

Two of the three measures were approved[1]

These three measures sought to allow the sale of alcohol at the designated locations on week days as well as on Sundays.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Issue 1: Shall the sale of wine, mixed beverages be permitted for sale on Sunday between the hours of ten a.m. and midnight by Wal Mart Stores East LP dba Wal Mart Supercenter 2605 an applicant for a D-6 liquor permit authorizing the off premise sales who is engaged in the business of operating a neighborhood store at 2145 Eastern Ave., Gallipolis, Ohio 45631 in this precinct?[3]
