A City of Garden Grove Term Limits Measure Q appeared on the November 4, 2008 ballot in Orange County, California.

Measure T was defeated with 49.4%% of the vote.

Currently, city council members in Garden Grove must take a four year absence from that office after serving two consecutive terms.

If Measure Q had been approved, city council membeers would have been allowed to run for office after taking a two-year break.

In order to pass, a majority vote was required.

The ballot question voters will decide on says, "Shall the ordinance amending the City of Garden Grove's term limits requirements to allow a City Council Member who has served two (2) consecutive terms in that office to run for the office of City Council Member after a two (2) year absence, instead of the current four (4) year absence, be adopted?"
