Richter served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. He then served in the United States Air Force Reserve from 1979 to 1981. He is currently Founder/CEO of the First National Bank of Florida.
Richter earned his BS from the University of Pittsburgh in 1981. He then attended the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1985.
