Gary Schroeder (b. November 8, 1944) has been a Republican member of the Idaho Senate since 1992. Schroeder was re-elected in November of 2008 with his term expiring in 2010.
Schroede graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in political science and earned a second Master's degree in Zoology from the University of Idaho. Schroeder also served three years on active duty in the US Navy from 1962 to 1965.
Before becoming a Senator, Schroeder was a business owner.
