Gene Therriault is a Republican member of the Alaska Senate, representing the F District since 2001. He has also been the state senate's minority leader since 2008.

Education

Therriault earned his A.A. in Computer Information Services and his B.A. in Business Administration, both from Univeristy of Alaska, Fairbanks.


Political Experience

Therriault has been a member of the Alaskan State Senate since 2001. In that time he has served as the Senate President from 2003-2004 and the Senate minority leader since 2008. During that time, he has also served on a number of committees and has been the chair of five seperate committees and the vice chair of three. Prior to being elected to the senate, Therriault served in the Alaskan House of Representatives from 1993-2000.
