He lost to incumbent Patrick Meehan.[2]Elections
2012
Badey ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Pennsylvania's 7th District. He was unopposed in the April 24 Democratic primary and hoped to unseat incumbent Rep. Patrick Meehan (R) in the November 6 general election.[3]
The Washington Post listed the House of Representatives elections in Pennsylvania in 2012 as one of the states that could determine whether Democrats would retake the House or Republicans would hold their majority in 2013.[4] Ohio tied with Pennsylvania for 9th on the list.[4]
