Zimmer was defeated by incumbent Dave Camp.[1] Zimmer ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Michigan's 4th District. Zimmer ran as a US Taxpayers Party candidate. He faced Republican incumbent Dave Camp, John Gelineau (L), Pat Timmons (G), and Debra Freidell Wirth (D) in the November 6, 2012, general election.[2]
