Georgia, 12 people charged with voter fraud in 2010 election
ATLANTA, Georgia, Twelve people have been charged with voter fraud in Brooks County, Georgia. The fraud occurred during the November 2010 election for school board races in the county. The county had received 1,060 absentee ballots out of the 1,403 mailed out. County officials noted that the absentee request was unusually high, neighboring Thomas county only had 202 ballots requested with 119 being returned. The twelve people who have been charged will have their case tried in a court of judicial law, noted District Attorney Joe Mulholland. Those indicted have been identified with the Democratic party, contrasting the Democrat's fight at the state level to stop Republican voter ID reforms.
