Referendum A appeared on the November 7, 2006 statewide ballot in Georgia as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1]
Ballot wording
The text of the measure said:
This Act expands eligibility for the existing ad valorem tax exemption for farm tractors, combines, and other farm equipment so that the exemption will apply to equipment which is held under a lease purchase agreement. If approved by a majority of the voters, the Act becomes effective on January 1, 2007, and applies to all tax years beginning on or after that date
