Text of measure
The language that appeared on the ballot:
Legislative Constitutional Amendment This proposal authorizes the General Assembly to create a program of indemnification with respect to the death or permanent disability of any state highway employee who is or at any time in the past was killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty. Funds shall be appropriated as necessary for payment of such indemnification and for the purchase of insurance. Legislation is necessary to implement the proposal.
